Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of KINR, including the website kinr.app, the waitlist, and the KINR mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter binding agreements under applicable law. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date.

3. Accounts and Security

You may register using email and/or authorized third-party authentication providers. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Service Features

Depending on your access level and product phase, KINR may allow you to:

• Create and join in-person KINRS in public venues
• Set topic, date, language, tags, and participant limit
• Discover nearby KINRS via map or list
• Use in-KINR chat and receive related notifications
• View user profiles, report users, and block users

5. User Conduct

You agree to use KINR respectfully and lawfully. You must not:

• Post illegal, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or sexually explicit content
• Harass, intimidate, or threaten others online or offline
• Impersonate another person or provide misleading identity information
• Use KINR for unauthorized advertising, solicitation, or commercial spam
• Interfere with platform security, integrity, or availability

6. Reliability Score and Participation

KINR may assign a reliability score based on factors such as participation, unexcused no-shows, and valid reports. KINR may limit certain features for users with persistently low reliability or repeated misconduct.

7. Reports, Moderation, and Blocking

Users can report and block other users. KINR may review reports and take action, including warnings, feature restrictions, temporary bans (7 or 14 days), or permanent bans.

Admins and moderators may also lift a ban (including a permanent ban) at their discretion after review.

8. Safety and Offline Meetings

KINR is a technology platform that helps users discover and join social meetups. KINR does not organize, supervise, or control in-person meetings and is not a party to interactions between users.

You attend meetups at your own risk and remain solely responsible for your decisions, conduct, and personal safety. You are also responsible for complying with applicable laws and venue rules.

If you believe an incident involves immediate danger or a criminal offense, contact local emergency services first. KINR may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities where required.

9. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in KINR and its content (brand, design, code, text, visuals, and structure) remain the exclusive property of KINR and its licensors. No license is granted other than the limited right to use the Service under these Terms.

10. No Warranty

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KINR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

KINR is not responsible for user-generated content or for conduct and interactions between users, whether online or in person.

Without limiting the above, KINR is not liable for incidents occurring during or after in-person meetings, including personal injury, harassment, assault, theft, property damage, disputes, or any other harm caused by third parties.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using KINR at any time and request account deletion where available in app settings. KINR may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security, legal, or community safety risks.

KINR may take immediate action, including temporary or permanent suspension, where reasonably necessary to protect users, venues, or platform integrity.

If you delete your account, account data may be retained for up to 30 days, then permanently deleted. After this period, deletion is irreversible and data cannot be recovered.

13. Changes to Terms

KINR may update these Terms from time to time. Material updates may be notified in-app, by email, or on the website. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, competent courts will be determined according to applicable procedural rules and mandatory legal provisions.
